Progress

Oct 5th 2018

This was the Friday activity at my house today.  It is starting to become more of a reality now as in a couple of weeks we will have the shell of the building up and the new interior will start to take shape.  I am SO excited.  The timing seems to be working out well as we will wrap up our 2018 quilting commitments next weekend and concentrate on our new workspace.  I will be going back full time to the tax office as well so it seems to be coming together quite nicely.  The weather has proven to be challenging for the crew today but they are still here working in the not forecasted mist!  Joe is up north hunting this weekend and when he called while driving in the Bemidji area told me the ground was white with a couple of inches of snow on the ground.  I guess I won't complain about the mist!!

I have managed to get some binding down and a couple more samples sewn today between watching the men at work.  I opened up the button box and used some of the "saved for good" buttons that I have collected from antique stores.  Still trying to decide if I should leave it like this or if every square needs buttons.  This is one of our new patterns using a candy pack and will be available at the Fall Quilters Market on Saturday, Oct 13th.

Well off to do some binding so we can share more of our new patterns with you in the very near future.   If you would like to spend your day quilting tomorrow, we have shared a crock pot soup recipe that we enjoy this time of the year.  Check out the recipe page of our website and give the Crockpot Chicken Enchilada soup a try.  It is super easy to throw together and you can sew while the smell of the soup fills the air.  Shalom~Darci
